Robert Wiene
(1873-1938) was a film director of the silent era of German cinema.
He is known for directing several expressionist films, but he also
directed films in other styles.

Carl Mayer (1894
-1944), born en Graz, Austria, wrote or co-wrote the screenplays to
The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari (1920) and Der Letzte Mann (1924) among
other films.
Erich Pommer, the producer |
Erich Pommer (1889 –
1966) was a film producer and executive, perhaps the most powerful
person in the German and European Film Industries in the 1920s and
early 1930s. The list of films in which he was involved is
revealing : The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari (1920), Dr. Mabuse,
the Gambler (1922), Die Nibelungen (1924), Der Letzte Mann / The
Last Laugh (1924), Faust (1926), Metropolis (1927) and The Blue
Angel (1930). He later worked in the U.S. before returning to Germany
to help rebuild the film industry after World War II.
