Are you curious
about how radio could sound in the Berlin of the Roaring Twenties ?
Here is a rare recording from those years, with the orchestra of
Luigi Bernauer (born Ludwig Bernhuber).
The recording, in different languages, is from the Weltrundfunksender, the first state shortwave radio station in Germany. It broadcasted from 26 August 1929 to 31 March 1933 from Königs Wusterhausen, some kilometers south of Berlin, on the frequency 9560 kHz (wavelength 31.38 m) and reached almost the whole world.
